Crafting Quality Queries
Master the dos and don’ts of selling your ideas to editors during this four-week course. If your query letter doesn’t grab the editor’s attention and woo her, she may never take a look at page one of your compelling article or your knock-her-socks-off book proposal. Learn how to:
  • Hook the editor
  • Pitch the idea
  • Clarify the slant, focus or theme
  • Introduce yourself
  • Convince her that she needs your writing
  • Close the deal

Instructor: Kim Peterson

Course Dates: January 17, 2011 - February 11, 2011 (4 weeks)
